A chronlogical list of major changes to this site
03/12/10
- On March 5, 2010, the NTSB published the full report of the tragic accident which took the life of Dr. Doug Pohl when the V8-powered LancAir-4P he owned and operated lost power on takeoff. The EPI Mark-9 PSRU was torn off the engine in the nose-down crash, and the shaft which couples the engine to the PSRU was broken during that impact. The NTSB's metallurgical inspection and analysis of that shaft confirmed that it broke during the impact and was not a factor in the accident. The full history of the Mark 9 was updated, and the NTSB report on the accident was reproduced and added.

11/04/08:
A SAD DAY IN AMERICAN HISTORY

This was the day that the moron-electorate sent the USA "down the tubes" by choosing an unqualified, uninformed, economically-naive, seditious, socialist, pathological liar for President.
This is a man who, because of his subversive activities and his associations with known criminals and terrorists, could NEVER have obtained a security clearance, but who now has access to the highest level of secrets essential to the security and defense of this country.
This is a man who bows and cowtows to hostile dictators; who is virulently anti-Israel (one of our strongest allies); who apologizes for our prosperity and dominance.
This is a man who is so stupid that he gave a pile of inane DVD movies (in the wrong format) to the Prime Minister of England and an iPod filled with his insipid speeches to the Queen; who is so fundamentally ignorant that he referred in a speech to "the Austrian Language".
This is a man who is busy destroying the very basis of the robust economic system which has offered opportunity sought by millions of immigrants and which has produced the most propsperous and comfortable lifestyle in the history of the planet; a man who is saddling future generations with unsustainable debt; a hypocrite of unimaginable arrogance who destroyed the voucher system which enabled thousands of non-rich children to attend the private schools to which he sends his daughters.
This is a man who is intent on destroying the most basic rights guaranteed to US Citizens by the Consitution and its amendments, intent on accomplishing an unprecedented transfer of power to the Executive branch and the resulting destruction of the amazingly-clever set of checks and balances among the three branches of government.
AND we have a first "lady" who, despite the reverse discrimination that got her into prestigious schools for which she was eminently unqualified, has stated that she never felt a sense of pride in her country, the same country which made it POSSIBLE for her to become one of the wealthiest 1/2% of people on the planet.
It is a matter of deep national pride that this country has overcome racial prejudice to the extent that it elected a man of African American heritage to the nation's highest office. It is, however, a national TRAGEDY that the first such man is so intellectually vacuous, so ethically bankrupt and so eminently unqualified for the office.
